Miserable weather during this time of shooting. All images for the week was shot on one Saturday.
So the theme has pretty much dropped from the Project. Much more liberating to just shoot and just observe what I find interesting.
Surprisingly shot alot during this week. Happy with the fish I caught too.
Alot has happened so the blog has once again fallen off the wagon. New job, helping a friend move out of his house after a break up but now I finally have time to post. Selections for the theme of “Lighter”.
Full disclosure I only shot one day for Week 31 and I didnt even leave my apartment haha. Photo was taken on my balcony during one of the morning sun showers.
Poor form I know. Better pick up the game this week with no excuses. A little rain or storm never hurt anyone…
Week 25 theme for this week was “Reluctance” Sorry for not posting the word before it was due but life happened. Featured image just sums up reluctance for me. Seeing police on horseback causing our bus to wait. One of those strange days whilst out and about.
Rest assured i fit in photography during my lunch break for the project hehe.
I did not shoot as much this week but glad I could find some relevant images for the theme. I wasn’t really searching this week, more just shooting. Luckily post justifcation worked!
This ended up being quite a challenge finding something rugged for the week.
The word is quite utilitarian and rough when applied to objects.
I searched alleys.
Looked for scruffy subjects.
Objects which I thought showed toughness and abuse.
More construction sites/alley.
I also looked for urban scenes which I thought portrayed a rough existence.
But in the end, a memory foam placed on a timber bench somehow wins it for me from the multiple interpretations I read from the image.
- The foam acting like a rug on a bench
- the idea of a rugged/tough existence sleeping on the streets
- the uneven terrain of memory foam.
Wow another week done. The year is going light speed. It’s almost June. The sun sets here in Perth around 5pm which severely limits shooting time. I chose the image above because I like the layering of the foreground and background element by the three bald men. Plus the stories a viewer could make between the three characters in the frame.
As you can imagine I shot alot around bus stops and took the bus quite abit this week for the brief. (I wasn’t very creative with the whole theme)
I’ve definitely gotten more interesting characters I have taken a photo of in the past but you can only take what the universe dishes out to you in the realms of street photography.
