Depressed

I did not end up going to any galleries again but instead focused on art/sculptures I encounter while out and about.

Structure

I thought this was clever way to reuse shipping containers by making them a permanent rainbow in Freo.

The featured image is a structure a close friend of mine help build and design. Abstracted trees.

Week 27/52 “Devising” – Selection

Selections for Week 27. The weather has been terrible last week so I didnt shoot as much as I would have liked.  Potentially getting lazy too…

Devil’s not allowed

Luckily managed to get a portrait which fits the brief. Another messenger from God this week using his hat to spread the message. I seem to be targeting lots of religious public folk out and about in my city.

27/52 – Devising

Theme “Devising” for Week 27 courtesy of random word generator. Another goody but difficult. Screen Shot 2017-07-04 at 7.28.51 pm

Portraying a person or group devising something… Planning as well as doing with careful consideration.

Maybe a person which has ingeniously created something, ie. custom sign or solution.

Fragile

Need to keep my eyes peeled while out shooting. Photo above actually makes the timeline. Always feels good when you know you at least have a shot for the week.

Week 25/52 “Reluctance” – Selections

Week 25 theme for this week was “Reluctance” Sorry for not posting the word before it was due but life happened. Featured image just sums up reluctance for me. Seeing police on horseback causing our bus to wait. One of those strange days whilst out and about.

No Dog Meat

Rest assured i fit in photography during my lunch break for the project hehe.

Building part recycling

I did not shoot as much this week but glad I could find some relevant images for the theme. I wasn’t really searching this week, more just shooting. Luckily post justifcation worked!

Week 24/52 “Bracket” – Selections

Shots from last week’s theme (Bracket)

Busker between Bon Scott

Enjoyed shooting it last Saturday as I managed to take out the bike i recently got and just cycled around Fremantle.

Groups of people and Seagulls

Amazing how much more time you gain by cycling vs walking.

I was pretty sore when I got back home though as I haven’t ridden a bike in years.

24/52 – “Bracket”

Random word generated theme again this week.

(BRACKET)

Abit of a strange and tricky one but luckily enough also open to interpretation from my dictionary/synonym search.

Anyways I’ll be looking for groups of people or things, photograph actual mechanical brackets and maybe even use the bracketing in my camera for the hell of it.

Week 23/52 “Portraits” – Selections

For week 23 I decided to continue with my portrait challenge. So there’s no theme per say. Most of the subject I spoke with and asked but some were taken candidly.

Captain America

I find since asking people for their photo and having a mini chat, it has made me more comfortable with approaching people. Knowing how to diffuse a situation and just be comfortable with what street photography is.

Fear in street photography is weird. There is no ill intent after all. It’s our lizard brain who is fearful.

The stoic Seneca has a great quote which I like to read before my lunch photo time to help get me out of the fear mindset.

The mind at times fashions for itself false shapes of evil when there are no signs that point to any evil; it twists into the worst construction some word of doubtful meaning; or it fancies some personal grudge to be more serious than it really is, considering not how angry the enemy is, but to what lengths he may go if he is angry. But life is not worth living, and there is no limit to our sorrows, if we indulge our fears to the greatest possible extent; in this matter, let prudence help you, and contemn with a resolute spirit even when it is in plain sight.
